The town celebrates its Day on May 6th, St. George’s Day

The annual cultural calendar of the municipality includes expositions, contests, celebrations, and more than 10 high-carat fests which with no disadvantage measure their value with the festivals of the biggest Bulgarian and even with some pf the biggest European cities.

All-Bulgarian Youngster’s Folklore festival “With Bulgarian in our hearts”

Since 2004 another sighificant festivalhas been ‘breathing’ in Kavarna – the International All-Bulgarian Youngster’s Fair “With Bulgarian in our hearts”. More than 2,000 young Bulgarians from the motherland and at about 200 ones from Albania, Macedonia, Serbia, Moldova and Ukraine shake hands in Kavarna joining the Bulgarian ring dance (horo) in May.

SUMMER FIESTAS

In the frame of its “Summer Life Fest”, in its Town Holiday, during the National Week of the Sea and on other occasions, the town is a hospitable stage also for the best Bulgarian pop and rock performers, for their concerts and presentations of their new albums. .

MUSSEL AND FISH FEST

At the beginning of September is the unique fish (both sea and river) and mussel fest where the culinary delicacies have been ‘spiced’ with frothy beer and concert events. The festival is a manifestation of the cuisine skillfulness of master-cooks from the country and abroad.
