Today Kavarna is an administrative center and the municipality of Kavarna is its face. It is both welcoming and businesslike. Kavarna is a modern town with good infrastructure and well-developed public services sphere. It has resort complexes, spacious beach, and a fishing base.
   The town combines masterly the pastoral of one or two-storeyd buildings with neat yards, with the style of the modern architecture; as well as the narrow peaceful streets with the wide boulevards; and the tracks from the past with the signs of the modern world.
   The town celebrates its Day on May 6th, St. George’s Day.
   The rich cultural program of the town attracts more and more Bulgarian and foreign tourists. Bigger cultural events organized in the town have already won recognition, such as the International Bulgarian-wide Youth Folklore Fair “Carrying Bulgaria in Our Hearts”, the National Festival of Amateur Theaters with international participation, "Kaliakra Rock Fest", as well as an attractive mussel and fish festival. A 20-day long initiative under the motto “Days of the Sea” is organized every year during the active tourist season.
   Since 2005 Kavarna has won recognition as the Balkan main center of rock. Kavarna will be hosting popular rock singers and bands from June 1st till the end of September. All these factors aid for the economic development of the municipality, and for its popularization as a new and attractive destination.
